  1. Amazing video, I love your approach! I feel the same about the 28mm, once you get into it it's a revelation. The feel, the rendering, everything. I believe you are very lucky being in such a colourful place with very interesting people like India. A huge difference especially in the approach to street photography compared to Europe.

  2. My observation is that most people in India don't like being shot from close up. They think you either have some nefarious purpose or you are going to report them somewhere or you are going to make money from their photo. The examples you are giving in your video are rare. Asking someone before taking his photo takes away the spontaneity of the shot. So how does shooting with a short prime really work? Doesn't a longer lens serve all purposes better, unless you are shooting with a short lens without letting people know that you are shooting?

  3. Hey Shivam, i used to do street photography and it's been 2 years i stopped photographing. I am not a pro, just a mediocre in skill learning to grow, thought of starting photography after many days, and your videos are inspiring me to hold my camera once again.

  4. This is legit THE standard on why 28mm (or 35/50) is the reason why you will make more honest deliberate photography. Thankyou for the reasoning on "Why" a fixed focal length is important.

  5. Great video Shivam, love your style and confidence whem taking these amazing photos, true art. Ive been doing photography now for 14 years and for the first time decided to stick with the 50mm for one year, i like the look of an 28mm and want to get there some day. Thank you for sharing your talent. Subscribed ☺️ all best wishes from Norway 🇳🇴

  6. ridiculous. you miss so many shots using a 28 prime বুঝতে পারছো? Get a 24-200 and you wont miss shots you miss with this 28mm… 28 -300mm F another necessary lens . Prime 28mm might work in the STUDIO but on the street you need a zoom …..

  7. Last year I bought a 28mm lens purely because it was cheap. I was after a 35mm. Up to that point I was very much at home with the 50mm On a trip to India I took both the 28mm and 50mm. I was very dependant on the 28mm during that trip. Using 50mm mainly for portraits when needed. You are so right the 28mm is the story teller for India.
