NOTE: Within the video I point out that the X-H2 has a slower processor than the X-H2S, which isn’t proper. X-H2 has the similar …

  1. The X-H2 may not be new news now – it was announced on Thursday 8th September – but the decision was made not to release this video at that time.

It was a truly sad day; the day we lost an amazing human being, who dedicated over 70-years of her life to our country. It goes without saying that it was not in one's heart nor mind to be publishing content just a little over an hour after the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II broke.

Along with the nation, I am mourning the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II, but hope that we can come round to celebrating the extraordinary life of a great Queen.

R.I.P. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

  2. My XH-2 is on the truck so Ill have to new toy and see how the lens I love the 14 f2.8 looks at 40mp! that said it will look the same as on the XT-4?

  3. Hey Kai, great video! I’m looking to upgrade from my X-T30 to either the new X-H2 or X-T5 for the larger sensor, weather sealing, ibis, and better ergo. I shoot primarily landscape, travel, and street / architecture and don’t shoot any video. The ergonomics of the X-H are really appealing but I worry I’d be overpaying for video prowess I’d never use over an X-T body. Any advice having tried the X-H2 in the metal? Thanks!

  4. Always love your reviews thank you!

I’m excited that Fuji are pushing themselves and consistently making solid new gear.

I’m super interested in the stabe and focus in video mode. I have the XT4 and LOVE it for photography, but I couldn’t deal with how unreliable the above were in video, so shelled out for a Sony a7siii which I still think is insane for video almost 2 yrs later and is my main workhorse for video.

I love the Fuji colours and the shooting experience for photography, so I kept the XT4 and I really enjoy taking it out for the day on a shoot. But I just don’t think it cuts it for hybrid street work. Really interested to see how the HX2 fares in the real world. May consider swapping XT4 out for one, however loosing the top ISO and SS dials would be hard! Let’s see if they bring out an XT5…

In a perfect world I’d have a Sony A1 as main machine for hybrid, use the a7siii as a second colour matched cam for video shoots, and use the XT4 purely for fun and more arty stuff, but I just don’t have the money for an A1!!!. I love how I can use the Fuji simulations in Lightroom for RAW shots and swap them out rather than relying on the baked in HEIC. It’s a game changer for me!

New cameras are always a good thing for moving the industry forward. Great times for camera tech!

  5. I am excited to try this with wildlife, as the extra sensor resolution effectively extends the range of my lenses. Am curious to see how it holds up for astro since the photosites are physically smaller.

  6. With the x-t4 being discontinued (not in the UK yet but I believe in japan) and with how closely priced it is to the x-h2 is the x-t4 even worth it? unless you really can't afford it the x-t4 really does seem over priced now maybe the x-t5 would be cheaper when it does come out compared?

  7. Hey guys! While I love the content as of late (esp. since Lok is around), I’ve especially been enjoying the more consumer and “tech” (drones, etc.) coverage.

Would love to see your take on smart phone photography, particularly on what a “pro” can accomplish on a smartphone camera these days. Look at Apple’s RAW format (not familiar with many others) and maybe even some 3rd party apps like Halide, Pixelmator, or Affinity Photo.

Doesn’t have to be often, but an every-once-in-a-while video touching on the state of mobile photography would be really cool, I think. Cheers!

  8. That's amazing, 8k for 2k usd or whatever gbp. Even the r5 is twice that amount. Now just waiting for 8k tv's to come down in price. Of course, to really appreciate it you need a 65" or bigger and I have a small apartment. Condolences to the UK of course. But she was a bit out of touch. But truly dedicated. Not high hopes for the next king. From Norway where we have a truly down-to-earth royal family close to the nation. Still rich, still spoiled, but good people. Now people have to go out and make 8k content! Keep up the vids.
