  1. Regarding to Rule#1, 16-bit mode doesn't guarantee displaying smooth gradients on wide gamut monitors, even if they really are in graphic file. It is required to turn on 30-bit color in Preferences / Performance / GPU Advanced Settings. Of course, video card and monitor must support this mode.

  3. I never understood why there is an option to NOT to embed color profile? in what situation would you not want to include the color profile to the image? and even if there is such a situation, why is this box unchecked by default?

  4. very useful tip for gradients, thank you! I never thought that working in 16 bits would help, but it makes totally sense as we have hugely much more light depts in 16 bits than in 8 bits 🙂

  5. Hi there, hoping you get to read this. Will you consider making a tutorial that’s specifically aimed towards beginners for photo editing ONLY. Ie what’s the first thing to do straight out of the box when editing a photo taken on a camera or smart phone. NOT the fancy advanced tricks..just the basic entry level steps to take a normal unedited photo from bland to amazing. Also explaining the various tools and what to consider before choosing an adjustment tool. I have photoshop 2025 but I guess you could do it in a way that addresses the older version. Also, in a separate video, perhaps showcase step by step on how to correctly upscale an image….case scenario. I download an image off from the internet…and now want to use it for printing a high quality image for DTF, DTG or anything else really. Thanking you in advance 👍🏻 PS: I’m by no means a beginner on PS and familiar with most tools and only now just getting use to the full understanding of masking etc but I still get tripped up with editing photos…ie what to do first, why and what not to do? My approach has always been to just go crazy and then often ending up not looking like a natural photo at all.
